Episode Sketches Gallery
Welcome to the Episode Sketches gallery!Magical Nyan Nyan Taruto was a very fortunate series and was made at the start of the digital anime boom. Because of this, there are no hand-painted cels from Taruto found with older series - there are collections of cel sketches which were used as a base for the artwork in the series instead. And I'm lucky enough to own some!
Even though every scene in Taruto will have had cel sketches, very few are available for sale, and even when they are they are very hard to come by. Some sketches I have bought have exceeded $400 USD - and some have cost as little as $30! But regardless of price, every set of sketches is a little piece of Taruto history.
Here I have uploaded a selection of sketches from my collection! These aren't all of my sets of sketches, nor are all of the sketches uploaded complete - but hopefully it'll give you a good idea of how much work goes into making an episode (and a sequence!) of Taruto!
Every image is watermarked to www.kyou-no-hana.com in the bottom right corner, but you can distribute them online as long as the watermark is intact. This means other people can find Kyou no Hana easier! Thank you :)

Cel Sequence: Taruto Running, Episode 7
Cel Sequence: Taruto Smiling, Episode 12
This sketches are from the very last character scene in episode 12, at the very end of the Taruto series. There are over 80 sketches in the set in total, so the sketches I've uploaded are merely a teaser of how the scene was built up.Needless to say, these are without a doubt the pride and joy of my Taruto collection :)
Cel Sequence: Taruto & Kakipi, Episode 5
Cel Sequence: Charlotte Running, Episode 12
Cel Sequence: Kinako Smiling, Episode 3
In the Taruto series, this scene was remastered from the original TV version to a cleaner, more refined DVD version for public release. The sketches shown here include both the remastered DVD version (sketches 1-7) and the original TV version (sketches 8-12) of the animated sequence - compare them and see the differences for yourself! :)Cel Sequence: Anzuko Walking, Episode 11
